Why this site exists

voicetyping.org was built around one simple observation: most people can speak about three times faster than they can type, yet good dictation tools were either locked behind subscriptions or buried inside heavyweight software.

We wanted something different — a voice typing notepad that opens instantly, works in the browser you already have, and never asks for your money, your email address, or your data. Click Start, talk, and take your words anywhere. That's the whole product, and that's the point.

What we care about

• Free, always. No trial, no word limit, no premium tier. Voice typing on this site is free today and stays free.
• Privacy first. Your notes live on your own device. We don't store, read, or sell anything you dictate.
• Everyone included. From students drafting essays to people with RSI or limited mobility, writing by voice should be available to anyone with a microphone — in their own language. That's why we support 50+ of them.

Who is behind it

The site is built and maintained by a small independent team of developers who use voice typing daily for notes, emails, and first drafts. We keep the tool deliberately small and focused, and we improve it based on what users tell us — found a bug or want a language added? Contact us.
